Hi Everyone!

I’m Alexander Reinthal from Gothenburg, Sweden. Welcome to my personal blog!

Due to the rapid progress in AI capabilities, I have taken a 12-month leave of absence to help to the best of my ability make our transition to AI go well, hopefully landing a job in technical AI Safety before the end of 2026. My background is in cybersecurity operations, ML engineering, data platform engineering, and LLM observability. I’m currently interested in working with others on the following topics:

Spare time

In my spare time I do some self-hosting using Proxmox Hypervisor. I also play in a band wlots where I scream and play bass. I also run a small club/music venue with my friends Sekten.

I have a son. His name is Ruphert and he is 4 years old. I live with my son and my fiancé in the apartment I grew up in. It kind of looks like a castle if you squint.
